What is a Kua Number?

We all know that different people have different energy needs.  In classical Feng Shui, the energy of most people can be divided into two groups: the EAST Group and the WEST Group.  So what does that mean for you?  Finding your Group and your Kua number assist you in finding the correct success, wealth, health, love, growth, and even your unlucky direction.

To give an example, if you are female and your birthday is May 9, 1991, you are part of the WEST group and your Kua number is 6.  Great, what now?  This group and number tells you that your success and wealth direction is West, so creating a wealth bowl in the west sector of your house will bring you success.  If your door is in the west section of your house, this will bring prosperity.  Your love direction is southwest.  Decorations in pairs in this sector as well as a fountain will bring love your way.

This is only a part of what the Kua number tells us and as you can see this information is essential to improve the Feng Shui of your home or office. You can position your bed so that it faces one of your best directions, as well as rearrange your office so that your desk is facing a lucky direction. And, if you are looking into buying a new house, you can also check if the direction of the front door is good for you.  In our sessions together, I find your Kua number which allows me to optimize the Feng Shui process.

EAST Group numbers are: 1,3,4,9

WEST Group numbers are: 2,5,6,7,8

What is Feng Shui Art?

Feng Shui  changes the elemental energy of your living space, and is not only about placement of your furniture.  Feng Shui works primarily with form and color apart from the design element. In my Feng Shui Artwork, I create paintings that integrate form and color to enhance the achievement of my client’s objectives. Each element in Feng Shui is represented by a shape and color. For example, Fire is represented by a red and a triangle. So to enhance this effect in a room, I paint those

features in an abstract form, creating the same effect as having that specific element in the room.  Sometimes a painting may contain more than one element, if a solution requires it.  These paintings are intentional and confined to Feng Shui principles.

If you are seeking harmony, abundance, or some other solution using Feng Shui, this art can increase the balance and attraction in your space.  The five elements of Feng Shui are wood, fire, earth, metal and water and our bodies and spaces are constantly striving for the balance of these five elements.  The colors, shapes, symbols and images in my paintings encourage and attract this balance.

Let’s say that you are wishing for love in your life.  An intuitive painting containing water, butterflies, a feather, purples, reds, pink and strong yellow could be a powerful solution.  Water beckons deeper connections and abundance, while the butterflies manifest ample suitors and the freedom to choose your best partner and in relationships they exemplify commitment and devotion.  The feather invites lightheartedness and truth.  Purple draws romance, red embodies joy, passion and sexual desire.  Pink attracts universal love and sweetness, as well as inner peace.  And finally, strong yellow captivates happiness and warmth.

As you may now realize, Feng Shui art is a very important and influential part of the process and solution Feng Shui presents.  These paintings are very specific to my clients needs and are painted after a thorough evaluation of the space. It may take from 10 to 60 days to complete a painting. Being an artist brings an edge into my practice and has created wonders for my clients.

Home Naming Ceremony

Times have changed—20 years ago, people saw yoga as a strange practice with no tangible physical benefits. Since then, we’ve been so widely exposed to its positive effects both on the body and mental health that it’s become as mainstream as green juice. Similarly, the ancient Chinese spatial laws of Feng Shui in houses have only proliferated, with practices like home naming and home purification getting special attention as their benefits get known.

A Naming Ceremony is the event at which an infant, a youth, or an adult or relatives is given a name. A Home naming ceremony is where we name our home, just like that. The essence of Home naming emerges from the fact that we consider our home as an individual or a person that is named and we give it love and respect, just as how we would, a person.

So the question is, why do we need to give our home respect and love? The answer is simple. What we love, manifests. In this case, its our home. We want to show love and respect to our home by taking care of it, by keeping yards manicured, closets decluttered, bedsheets changed every so often and keeping the general area organized and clean. In return, our home gives us back a free flowing Chi, a positive environment, growth and prosperity.

Home Naming is art which is not very prevalent however, Intuitive Feng Shui believes strongly in naming a home, so as to give it an entity and identity that people can relate with. It also entails respecting every room of the house, in that , not using the bedroom for eating or dining room for doing office work. The house energies get thoroughly confused when such things are practiced.

The process of Home Naming ceremony is simple. Take a piece of a blank paper and write the chosen name of your home in RED ink. Then create strong intentions around the name by visualizing your home as an individual, thanking it and asking for his/her blessings. Ask the home to always keep you safe and protected. Smudge some Palo Santo or Sage in the home right after.

This is a powerful intentional exercise that creates a strong bond between you and your home and immediately connects the two of you. The house now takes onus for your wellbeing and prosperity. The magic is endless!
